No deposit live dealer bonuses

Many players opt to take a no deposit bonus when they join a casino, and contrary to popular belief it is possible to spend your bonus on live casino games – if you know where to look.

Luckily for you, we’ve got some exclusive deals on offer with some of our partner casinos who will let you play for free in the world’s best live, streamed gaming rooms. You can play in no deposit live dealer casinos for free, keep what you win and enjoy the ambience that comes with the very best streamed casino studio services on the web.

Live online casino bonuses are not always as straightforward as they seem, though – so we’ve covered some of the most essential queries to help you get started.

What are game weightings?

If a no deposit live dealer casino allows you to spend your bonus on table games, they will use game weightings to prevent bonus abuse. These specify a set percentage of each wager that contributes towards meeting the overall wagering requirement.

Nearly all slots have a 100% weighting, so all you spend on them counts towards meeting your bonus target. With live table games, however, the percentage is usually 25% or less.

This is because live table game bets can easily turn into large returns for players in a way that slots can’t, and therefore represent more of a risk to players. Given that games like Blackjack can easily pay evens, you need only get reasonably lucky a few times with a high stake hand and the casino will suffer a huge loss whilst you meet your wagering requirements.

Why are Roulette games usually treated differently?

Roulette is a specific problem in terms of game weightings as it’s easy for players to make low risk bets to meet their wagering requirements, which again is highly unsportsmanlike.

This is achieved by covering 50% or more of the spaces on the wheel, using outside bets like red or black – or even more than 50% of the spaces, thereby guaranteeing positive expected returns.

To get round this problem, casino game weighting tables for roulette often go into much more detail, specifying that only certain types of bet are eligible.

Why are live dealer casinos sometimes reluctant to give players a no deposit bonus?

Sadly, some players like to commit what’s known as Bonus Abuse. This involves joining a casino purely to obtain a bonus, which they then withdraw without ever spending any money in the casino. This unsportsmanlike behaviour is often repeated by the same players using multiple aliases and credit cards, giving the casinos a serious problem.

To combat Bonus Abuse, casinos have to insist that you wager your bonus over and over a certain number of times, known as a Wagering Requirement. Some players, however, use table games to cheat the system. For example if you have two accounts you can meet wagering requirements with virtually no risk just by playing Roulette and betting red with one account and black with the other.

This is why casinos have to be extra careful about which games you can spend a no deposit bonus on, and many simply find it easier to simply exclude table games completely.

How much can I expect to be given in the form of a no deposit live dealer bonus?

Because no deposit bonuses are purely at the expense of your casino, they can’t afford to give away huge amounts. You’ll typically see no deposit bonuses of either £5, £10 or £20.

Anything more and you’ll need to make a deposit, though once you start doing this the amounts you can get hold of are much larger – sometimes running into four figures.

How will I know how much of the wagering requirement I have met?

Some casinos offer this information up-front and will tell you at a glance how much you need to wager before you can start making withdrawals, whilst others don’t.

In this case we’d recommend simply contacting their customer service team and asking them – preferably via Live Chat if it’s offered, as you’ll then be able to take a screenshot as proof.

How and when will I get my bonus?

No deposit live dealer bonuses are paid upon registration, so as soon as you’ve signed up you’ll see the bonus in your player balance.

Are there any live games that are excluded from no deposit bonus offers?

To our knowledge, the answer to this question is no. We’ve played Roulette, Blackjack, Baccarat, Casino Hold ‘Em, Three Card Poker and even Sic Bo with a no deposit bonus.

Some casinos may have specific policies on certain games, mainly with regards to Roulette players – but that’s at their discretion and they’ll usually still let you play subject to certain rules.

Is there a time limit on no deposit live dealer casino bonuses?

This varies from casino to casino, but we would advise you to read the terms and conditions that come with your bonus as they do sometimes expire after a set period of time, and wagering requirements often have to be met within a stated period too or the bonus and any associated winnings may be confiscated.

Is it possible to spend the bonus one type of game and then meet wagering requirements using other types of games?

This presents no problem whatsoever. Live dealer casinos look at your wagering as a whole, and will apply any game weightings necessary - but you don’t need to meet your wagering requirements target on the same game that you spent the bonus on.

Can I win a progressive jackpot with my no deposit live casino bonus?

Many players think that progressive jackpots only appear on slot games, making this question irrelevant for table game players.

However, with the advent of games like Caribbean Stud Poker - which has a progressive prize that can be worth millions – it becomes more of an issue. Generally-speaking you won’t be able to play games like this with your no deposit bonus, though this is understandable. After all, how would you feel if you had to pay millions out to someone who has never even made a deposit with you?
